Dr.  Keenan has been teaching English at the secondary level for nearly 30 years. In addition to teaching Language Arts at The Mesivta, he meets with Honors and College Prep classes daily at Lower Merion High School. Jim began guiding students at Sun Valley High School in 1990, and from 1991 to 1999, taught at Phoenixville Area High School before joining the Lower Merion faculty in the fall of 1999.  He has coached baseball and football teams at the middle and high school levels and incorporates sports into his courses through journalistic writing and documentary elements. Dr. Keenan has a Bachelor of Arts in English from Ursinus College, a Master of Arts in English from Villanova University, and an Educational Doctorate in Reading and Language Arts from Widener University.
