Rabbi Yakir Schechter has been at The Mesivta since its inception. He received his Semicha from Yeshiva University and a Master’s Degree from the Azrieli School of Jewish Education. He also spent time learning at Yeshivat Kerem B’Yavneh, Mir-Yerushalayim, the Aish HaTorah Kollel Elyon, and the Philadelphia Community Kollel.  In addition to teaching, he coached the MTA hockey team for several years, and played the drums for Neginah Orchestra. Rabbi Schechter and his family reside in Bala Cynwyd.
