In addition to his teaching position at The Mesivta, Rabbi Jonathan Bienenfeld has served as the Rav of the Young Israel of Cherry Hill since 2014. Since that time, he has reinvigorated the kehilah with new, innovative programs and learning opportunities. Rabbi Bienenfeld also served as middle-school Gemara rebbe at Politz Day School of Cherry Hill. Prior to his arrival in Cherry Hill, he served as the Rav of Congregation Eitz Chayim in Toledo, Ohio for three years, following his work as Youth Director and Rabbinic Intern at the Young Israel of Holliswood in Queens. Rabbi Bienenfeld is a musmach of Yeshivas Ohr Hachaim in Kew Gardens Hills -- where he was also a member of the Kollel Elyon -- and has a Bachelors of Arts in Judaic Studies from Touro College. He has previously taught at Kohelet Yeshiva High School and spent five summers at Camp Kaylie in Wurtsboro, New York, where he served in chinuch and administrative roles.
