English Summer Assignments
The expectation is that students read for content and style. Students were given a personal copy, so utilizing a note-taking strategy is essential for supporting retention (sticky notes, highlighting, writing in margins, chapter summary notes, etc). Some graphic organizers to support independent reading are also provided on our website. Students should be prepared for a major assessment (test/essay/oral exam) at the beginning of the year. This will be our first unit, so it is essential that students have read their text prior to the start of the school year.
These packets and books were distributed directly to students at the end of the school year for grades 10-12. 9th graders were mailed their packets.
